Mini Session Extravaganza (Part 1)
Way back when, in the fall, I hosted a weekend of mini sessions in Delaware Park, Buffalo, NY. These were 20 minute sessions that focused on authentic connections between families, no props necessary! I have to tell you… they were a total hit! It was so rewarding for me to get to meet so many different families, as well as to spend time with past clients and see how much their babes have grown. But honestly, I think that these sessions are amazing for the clients for many reasons.
First, 20 minutes is a perfect amount of time! For those with young kids, it is usually just the right amount of time for their attention spans. We pack in a lot of fun in a short period of time and keep it fun and interesting for all ages. Bonus, Dad’s love them too! I had more than one father at the end of the session say, “That’s it? That was so much fun!”
Secondly, they are super affordable. I know many families like to updated their portraits yearly, and this is a cost effective way to do it! What happens, is I block out a whole day in one location and schedule sessions back to back, which allows me to offer the sessions at a discounted rate.
Anyways, this is the first of 3 posts, (see Part II here) where I will share some of the amazing images that we were able to create! If you were a part of the mini sessions last year I would really love it if you could share one thing that you enjoyed about the session in the comments below. Also, any ideas of where I should hold them this year??? I would love to hear your thoughts.
These mini sessions are offered once a year only! If you would like to be notified for the 2017 Mini sessions, please send me a message here.
