Shannon & Daniel’s Wedding Day – Hayloft in the Grove

Shannon & Daniel’s Wedding Day – Hayloft in the Grove

One thing I have really come to appreciate about photographing weddings, is that each wedding day is as unique as the couples themselves. Sure, on paper most weddings have a lot of things in common… dress, flowers, ceremony, first dance, etc. But what I mean, is that the people, emotions, the aura or ‘vibe’, as the kids say these days, is totally different for each event.  When I think of Shannon and Daniel’s wedding, one word keeps repeating in my mind. Joy.

Obviously when looking at pictures it is not always possible to tell what is going on in the moment of the image. Are they staring into each others eyes like that because they are so in love that they just can’t possibly look away or is it because the photographer asked them to have a staring contest? See what I mean?  Well with Shannon & Daniel, it was most certainly the former. These two love birds were both absolutely beaming the entire day.

While my trusted second photographer, Rachel documented the morning with Daniel and his groomsmen, I had the privileged of spending time with Shannon’s family in her childhood home. Among many family photos and no doubt countless memories, Shannon’s supportive parents and siblings all got ready for the big day. I sooo appreciate how welcome they made myself and assistant, Isabel, feel throughout the morning.

After their ceremony at St. Peter & Paul’s Church, we all headed to the Hayloft in the Grove for a wonderful evening. I absolutely love how much variety we were able to give the newlyweds. There are so many great photo spots on the grounds at the Hayloft that we were able to achieve a lot in just a short period of time.
